USA 2008 - The Verdict - Part 1 - McCain Palin

John Sidney McCain III - born 29/8/1936.
Key Numerology Energies 1, 2/11, 3, 4
.

Sarah Louise Heath Palin - born 11/2/1964.
Key Numerology Energies 1, 2/11, 4, 6

We are each the sum of our natural talents and abilities, fused with what we choose learn this time around. By nature, McCain is a hothead, impatient, sarcastic, stubborn and awkward. But he is also an old man who knows hardship. So, has he learned from his mistakes and from his experiences? If he has then his negatives become positives and he becomes a leader, an independent, determined, disciplined and occasionally inspirational, with an appetite for left-field play. Sound like him? In reality he is a mixture of both positive and negative, but the fact that he has survived this far suggests that his positive is just (only) outweighing his negative. He does have a dark side, but I think he knows that he does. And that's a big plus.

The interesting thing about the numerology of Sarah Palin is that it is almost identical to that of McCain. He picked a 'mini-me with lipstick!' But where Sarah Palin is family orientated, McCain is not. Palin is emotional and powerfully protective of home (the USA) and family (Average Joe). She has a dark side, and maybe she is not yet fully aware of it, but she soon will be. Her husband is her Achilles heel. His actions, in time, will come to haunt her. Remember that you heard it here first.

McCain is in a Personal Year 11. This exxagerates his strengths and compounds his weaknesses. Whatever happens he must 'press pause' when things get too much for him. This coming year will test his ability to control his dark side. If he can do that, he might just squeak home, but it'll be tough for him, he won't like it and it'll show.

Palin entered a Personal Year '5' in Feb 2008 - variety, travel, opportunities, and growth - and enters a '6' in Feb 2009. That means responsibility for others. Vice President of America would nicely fit her personal vibration, but unfortunately the Personal Year 6 is all too often associated with an increased importance in matters of home and family. I'd say she'll be going back to Alaska to try to return to normality. Doggone it!

I can't see how these two can possibly win now, barring a crisis or some unforeseen event. The American public have swallowed Obamania, but maybe once the country chokes, President Palin can pick up the pieces in 2012.

Why so nasty to the Dems?
Obama's Numerology shows us he ain't what he seems.
Stay tuned...

Palmistry - the proof

I find it laughable that science continues to scoff at all matters paranormal, yet produces research such as this. Any decent palmist will tell you that they have known about nail and finger shape and appearance, and what it means for the owner, for a very long time.
The fact that science now confirms it doesn't show us how great science it. Far from it. It shows us how behind science is and how it is as much a bar to progress as a gateway to it.

Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before...

The American Presidential Elections - 35 days and counting.
Historic elections, opportunity for renewal, best days ahead of us, evil Republicans, tax 'n' spend Democrats, economic crisis, hard working families, hard pressed families, average Americans, change, change for the best, change to win, change for a change, blah, blah, blah.
Check out this site - its astonishing how nothing has changed at all.
McGovern in 1972 was banging on about 'the people', Carter in 1976 was all about 'change', Reagan in 1980 was pushing the economy and the other guy not turning up at debates. Even Eisenhower in 1952 was talking about 'cleaning up Washington.'
Exactly the same themes as are being employed this time round.
But all that pales into insignificance against images of a fresh faced George W Bush! I was in the USA during the campaign in 2000 and it was inconceivable to me that he could ever win. And then he won twice! Do not put it past Americans to shock us again. It seems to me the country is gripped with fear and loathing, the product of decades of the same turkeys all dressed up in fresh wrappers every 4 years.
The last time a woman was on the ticket was 1984 and the site reminds us how much stick she got, just for being a woman. This time around the media attacks on Sarah Palin have bordered on hysterical. I always work on the assumption that if you're making people jealous and angry and resentful then you must be doing something right.
Perhaps the Democrats slogan should be 'Vote for change - then spend 4 years learning what the word really means.'

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

Crisis? Maybe.
Meltdown? Probably.
Doom? For some.
End of Capitalism? Don't bank on it.

The whole system of banking is inherently dodgy. The principle on which it operates, fractional reserve banking, means that there is never enough money to go round if everybody wants theirs at the same time.
The whole system of markets has its suspect moments as well, but the problem we face now stems from the explosion in the use of derivatives - i.e. the buying and selling of things that don't really exist for prices far in excess of any possible value. Derivatives trading is like playing pass the parcel. And now the music has stopped.
So should be have seen this coming?
Well we did..
The richest man in the world, Warren Buffett, foresaw all the problems way back in 2002, and stayed well clear. I suppose that's why he's the richest man in the world. He couldn't be clearer:

".. even experienced investors and analysts encounter major problems in analyzing the financial condition of firms that are heavily involved with derivatives contracts. When I finish reading the long footnotes detailing the derivatives activities of major banks, the only thing I understand is that I don’t understand how much risk the institution is running.
The derivatives genie is now well out of the bottle, and these instruments will almost certainly multiply in variety and number until some event makes their toxicity clear. Knowledge of how dangerous they are has already permeated the electricity and gas businesses, in which the eruption of major troubles caused the use of derivatives to diminish dramatically. Elsewhere, however, the derivatives business continues to expand unchecked. Central banks and governments have so far found no effective way to control, or even monitor, the risks posed by these contracts.
In our view, however, derivatives are financial weapons of mass destruction, carrying dangers that, while now latent, are potentially lethal.
"

There are three things really going on here:
Wake up the people. It is still far preferable to own your own home, than to rent it privately or from the council. Not because it might or might not increase in value, but because if you own your own home you can do what you like within in, when you like. It is the individuals responsibility to take on debt they can afford, and if they can't afford it they pay the price. Blind belief in the ever spiralling price of your house, the ever cheaper cost of debt and the ever present obligation of someone else to sort out your mess should come to an end, and not a moment to soon. Capitalism is not a religion, although some worship it as such.
They hunt in packs. The goal of the men that run banks is to make money. The goal of the men that run hedge funds is to make money. The goal of the Treasury is to hang onto their money, the goal of the men in government is to post 'the 1000th consecutive quarter of economic growth.' No consideration of happiness, fulfillment or humanity, just money. But that's no different today than it was last week, last year, last decade - or next year.
The end of America. This is the real message of all this. In the land of the free, the government is going to end up owning the mortgages of half its citizens. Lenin would be laughing his head off. The trouble is America can't afford all this. The richest country that ever existed teeters on the brink of bankruptcy, its financial position shored up by the oil rich countries of the Middle East and China. Through the dubious instrument known as sovereign wealth funds, the Chinese government now owns the other half of US mortgages.
This is not the end of capitalism - but it is the end of freedom. The Chairman of Lloyds TSB said the chance to take over HBoS was the 'opportunity of a lifetime.' The propaganda machine makes it seems like he's doing us a favour, but actually he just sees how his enlarged company is going to clean up! This correction will concentrate power and wealth in the hands of the even fewer, who will then insist on regulation that stops this happening again, but also reinforces and entrenches their position.
Power, wealth and influence has drained away from America over the past decade. You may think that's a good thing, but consider the alternative. Capitalism is thriving in China, their people getting richer by the day, yet their people are not free, and they alone make the largest contribution to the destruction of the planet.
The sad fact is that none of this is any different today than it was yesterday, or last week, or even last year. Nothing has changed. It just continues to get worse.
What's the answer? I'm working on it...

The New Priesthood

Science. Witchcraft with clipboards.
Those were the words i heard at the weekend and they stayed with me, because this week the New Priesthood - scientists - are getting serious.
On Wednesday the Large Hadron Collider at CERN will be switched on in a attempt to recreate the conditions that existed at the very beginning of the universe, and to prove the existence or otherwise of God.
That's it then, hail science, the all conquering new religion. Full of certainty, full of predictability.
My arse.
The last time i had an argument about science versus mysticism i was confronted with the words ' I don't believe in psychics, i believe in science.' The person that said this failed to recognise the total contradiction of their own words.
Belief is the enemy here. Scientists have begun to believe their own hype and people just follow blindly the words 'proof' in the same way their ancestors followed the word 'holy'.
It'll all end in tears. But not this week. The experiment will prove nothing, and show nothing, but the ritual will be observed by many across the globe, including those who fear the results.
How is that anything other than a religion?

The World Just Became A Better Place

The number one enemy of life on earth is the 'Good Old Boy Network'. Groups of men with power and authority always abuse it. Forever it was so. The Good Old Boys manifest in various guises - African tribesmen who insist on female genital manipulation, Catholic paedophile priests, Russian Old Billionaires who put money before everything else, Taliban clerics who want to turn the world back to the Dark Ages, NHS administrators who are obsessed with targets at the expense of lives, drunk and corrupt Conservative politicians and incompetent and delusional Labour ones. All these groups and more have two things in common. First - they detest people who rock the boat and ask awkward questions. Second, they are all run by men.
But, now, finally, we have a chance to break free from this stranglehold.
The maverick, independent minded John McCain has picked the maverick reformer Sarah Palin as his running mate in the forthcoming US Presidential election. This is the change the country and the world needs.
The Democrats pretend that a young black man and an old white guy are the way forward.
Give me a break. Surely the world has had enough of fresh faced men that speak well to the converted. They always let us down. And it'll be the same this time round.
The voters of America have a clear choice and no excuses. If the world disappears in a puff of smoke during an Obama Presidency it'll be no consolation that a black man finally got to the highest office in the land.
At the first possible opportunity to demonstrate fresh thinking and new ideas, Obama bottled it and McCain embraced it. Obama is not the way forward and the world will live to regret it if he becomes President.
But, at least for today, Sarah Palin enables hope to triumph over fear.
We might just make it after all.
Welcome to the New Age!

It Matters

The President of The United States matters. 8 years of George W Bush should have taught the world that much. Along with the President of the Peoples Republic China, the man that resides in the Oval Office has the power to directly and indirectly affect the material and physical existence of countless millions of souls.
So it matters that the front runner in the coming election, Barack Obama, has picked old white guy Senator Joe Biden (born 20th November 1942) as his choice for Vice President. It further matters that the Republican nominee is an even older white guy, who has yet to announce his choice for VP.
Barack Obama (born 4th August 1961) speaks a lot about change. But can a young black guy and and an old white man really make the world a better place? I will devote future posts to in depth numerology on all the key players, but suffice to say that the alternative, John McCain (born 29th August 1936) has the trump card in his hand, if he dare but play it. This very old white guy, Vietnam POW and maverick can walk into the Whitehouse next January and make the world a better place by choosing a woman as his VP. It's a real possibility, but there are really only two choices Sarah Palin, and Carly Fiorina (with a third outsider, Kay Bailey Hutchison).
But why am I bigging up the despised War Party? Simply because the best hope for change, Hillary Clinton, blew it. I never thought that America would have the stomach to elect her, but i stated repeatedly that she had great potential. But even i was amazed at the consistently negative message and self destructive tendencies that dominated during her campaign. In numerology, her date of birth, 26th October 1947, makes her strong in 3 and 8 energy. The positive traits of this are the ability to communicate, connect, inspire, lead, organise and direct. But man, did she go negative. She gave in to all her worst characteristics - she was pompous, sarcastic, domineering, hectoring, lecturing, self important and arrogant, plus the worst error of all - she came across as being unable to listen or to learn. There's no point being a woman if you're just going to act like a man. That's what finished her. The women that follow in her footsteps ought to take heed.

Anyone know a good electrician?

Some people will take this as vindication of NLP, that you can 'Achieve if you Believe' and that you can 'Re-create your life - right now, in 10 easy courses only £999!'

Oh dear.

The article is self explanatory - the shock and trauma that brought on these changes was so intense as to shatter completely the old pattern and force the brain to reconnect in a new way. The energy and effort required to achieve this rewiring cannot be got from a couple of mantras every second second morning for 10 minutes before breakfast.

In other words, there's no short cut to developing the powers of the mind - damn that pesky hard work again.

My friend Becky Walsh has an original take on how the brain is wired, here.

Competition and Achievement

I didn't have high hopes of enjoying the Olympics and I haven't been disappointed. The endless reminders of Team GB's ascent, the propaganda, and the hot air, all serve to remind me of the futility of identifying yourself with teams and nations. Our athletes always make 'valiant efforts' when they struggle in 23rd, and the nation always seems so much more at ease with itself when we are the top of the sporting tree. Does it?

The only form of endeavour worth a candle is personal endeavour. I will happily follow Paula Radcliffe to see if she can do better than she did last year, but i will equally do that with the Chinese weightlifter or with the American gymnast with the impossibly large thighs. Not because of their country, but because of their unique path and individual struggle.

I'd rather watch the X Factor and see reality (kind of) in all its glory. The supreme achievement
and transformation of people with talent from nothing into something and the cold realisations dished out by Cowell and co.

We know its commercialised hype, which is exactly what the Olympics is. But at least in the X Factor its the individual that is celebrated, not the illusion that is the nation state.

Those that worship the flag of the country in which they live are destined to be buried in it. The individual can fly without the aid of any pole.

Wrap Your Arms Around the World

Can somebody tell me how this improves the sum total of human wealth and happiness?
Don't get me wrong, i like new information and greater knowledge, but i wonder how much time, energy and money has been spent on this 'discovery', when all the time there are plenty of two legged people who could sure use some of it.
Anyway, some octopusses (octopi, octopodes?) have more than 8 - according to this strangeness.

All Hail The New Religion! (Whatever the cost)

There's something strange going on in public life these days. Those that were meant to be on our side (the nice Labour government, doctors, scientists, researchers) come out with the most ridiculous drivel, while all those repressive institutions that were supposed to belong to the old order get it spot on. For a good example of this, get your head around Princes Charles' interview in the Daily Telegraph today.
The Monarchy is well past its sell by date, but when it takes the future King of England to state the bleeding obvious that GM foods are not the answer, then something has gone very wrong indeed.
I will not knowingly touch GM foods, I would rather starve. But the New Religion that calls itself 'Science' will have no truck with that. All tomatoes must look the same, taste the same and last for 4 weeks on the supermarket shelves, after being pulled from the vine way before they were ready.
When you turn the essentials of life over to the hands of business MEN and their apologists - scientists - you've got a crisis on your hands. And as the Prince says 'If that's the future, then count me out.' How serious this must be that I would even consider saying 'Long live the King!'

Celeb Watch - Denise Van Outen

I listen to Capital Radio, online and whenever i am in town.
I have always enjoyed the chemistry between Johnny Vaughan and Denise Van Outen, so when she agreed to join him on the breakfast show in February this year i was pleased, but it didn't seem right. So i checked out her Numerology, and my suspicions were confirmed. On her 34th birthday on 27th May 2008 she entered a Numerology Personal Year 6. This hails the start of a twelve month period where what matters is home and family - who she lives with, where she lives and how she lives - not work, money and career. No surprise over here then when on 29th July she announced she was quitting, while only mid way through her contract. You know, i would n't be surprised if there wasn't even more to it than that - moving house, marriage, babies? Time will tell, but either way, the moral of the tale is that timing is everything, and sometimes there are things more important than work..

And so we're back...

...from Outer Space, Hyperspace, Inner Space and of course from excessive mincing around on t'internet.
Posts will be more frequent from now on (words to regret?) so lets begin with this absurdity.
Do i need to revise my views about the female of the species being the saviours of the planet? Or is it just the Femail of the species that's the problem?

The Curse of Preconceptions

The immortal line Free Your Mind, is no longer an exhortation to trip off into psychedelia and la-la land.

It is recognition of the biggest obstacle that we face in our development as human beings.

If we accept that Life is a learning experience, why do we so often act contrary to our own interests? Is it due to our pre-conceptions, our blind acceptance of what is sometimes known as received wisdom?

Whenever we encounter a testing situation, a difficulty, a challenge or an obstacle, we often find that all we have learned thus far does not help us. Sometimes, what we believe comes into direct conflict with what we are now experiencing. "The world has gone crazy!" we curse. The fact that our current experience doe not accord to our beliefs simply means that our beliefs are out of date. But that is not how we take it.

In the face of new and unfamiliar situations, what do we do?

Unfortunately, more often than not, we fail to adapt, and fail to confront the possibility, the merest hint, that our beliefs are wrong. We refuse to test or adapt those beliefs and principles and instead reject out of hand anything at all that threatens the security of the world which we have constructed around us. The principles and beliefs that once supported our development, at this point, become a prison, for our minds.

The famous astronomer Galileo encountered nothing but resistance from his peers when he declared that the Earth was not the centre of the Universe. You only have to imagine where we would be now if those around him who resisted his new ideas, and clung to their preconceptions like a security blanket, had won the day.

So, next time someone challenges your beliefs or principles, directly or indirectly, check yourself. What is your default response? Is it to be open to new possibilities, or is it, reflexively, to state loudly and categorically "That is impossible!"

The Analects of Arthur Norris

The Analects of Arthur Norris

Everyone on the path of understanding encounters a teacher, somewhere along the path, for some length of time.
Share in a just a fraction of the wisdom of mine.

Learning is duality. First we learn, then we do.

Without balance there is only extreme.

It is what you do not know that gets you.

The situation you are in is brought about by your own decisions and choices. Who can you really blame?

Simple = Profound

Whatever you are interested in, you will be good at.

God does not make mistakes. You have been given roads to travel and all the tools you need to travel them.

Everyone already knows. They just do not know they know.

Gaining wisdom is a two part process.
First we gain the knowledge, then we use that knowledge to gain understanding.
Knowledge + understanding = wisdom. The greatest prize of all.

Mankinds knowledge now vastly exceeds his understanding.

Learning without tolerance brings loneliness.

Watch the Ms and the Ds.

The obstinate always have hearing problems.

Knowledge and learning are only tools. Application of the knowledge is key.
There you gain understanding.
Knowledge must be used.
Mistakes must be made.

Your feelings, though sometimes painful, tell you that you are alive.

Learning costs, but not learning costs even more.

The New Day

In tandem with my Inner World exploration, and in order to attempt to integrate my findings in that place, work continues hap-hazardly on a treatise, a manifesto, or a set of wild scribbling (call it whichever you like), entitled 'The New Day'. The work aims to define and describe, once and forever and for always, what is wrong with Life on Planet Earth. (Look around - things surely weren't meant to be like this were they?)
Once identified, the work aims to provide the solutions.
That will be a quick task before dinner then?
Strangely not!
The scope of my enquiries has widened considerably since I began, but interestingly many of my observations seem to point in similar directions.
Who knows how long it will take to write? Who knows where I shall be by the time of its completion? In the meantime, enjoy a draft of the Introduction.

The greatest ill to befall the billions of souls to have walked the Earth has been their belief that this is all that there is. The billions of individuals who have born and died since the beginning of time have overwhelmingly died in poverty, horror or starvation. Even today, the world as advanced as it has ever been, the majority of children born today will die unsatisfied with their lot and empty inside. The belief has, and is still, prevalent that our lives are as good as they can possibly be, and that the Power to Change is beyond us, outside our grasp.
How different would our world be now, if it were accepted that there is more to life than this, this is not the way it was meant to be and we could shout with force and conviction "I can change it!"
Where attempts by individuals or groups over the ages have been made to change the status quo, to set the world on a better path - they have all failed insofar as none of them achieved lasting success. Many ideas flourished, then died, leaving only the hardcore idealists to carry the fight through to the next generation. The roots of our illness, the depth of the illusion, the denseness of the fog that surrounds us all, has thus far, proved impenetrable.
All the great solutions of history have failed; the Roman and Greek Empires, the Divine Monarch, the British Empire, the French Revolution, Communism, Fascism to name but a handful, or are failing; the American Empire, Christianity, Islam, Capitalism to name a few more.
The fog of confusion has been impenetrable, because the essential nature of things, truth, has been overlooked, marginalised or just ignored, as too tough to swallow. Truth is tough to bear, but the alternative is tougher. As events on Planet Earth spiral out of control, the time for truth, the time to address the essential nature of things, plain and simple, unadulterated and raw, has final arrived.
The seeds of our predicament occupy the first part of the book. It endeavours to cut through the superficial and the transitory, and addresses those factors that have persisted for centuries. For that reason I expect the criticism of over-simplification to be levelled at the work, early on. This is incorrect however, for there is a world of difference between a simplistic approach, and a disciplined analysis of the core of things. By necessity, many issues which I feel to be extraneous to the core will not be mentioned, at which point you may say "Hang on, what about so-and-so?" When this happens, as inevitably it will, I would urge you to consider the fundamentals, and relate them to the example that burns on your lips. No-one is perfect, but I have made a genuine attempt to ensure that the fundamental causes (part one) and solutions (part two) are applicable to all that reside on this Earth.
If a New Day is to dawn, and embrace all, then it must fully address all aspects of life and encompass all peoples, rich and poor, young and old, white and black, male and female. When it does this it must have gathered and weighed all the factors involved, including all that is seen, as well as all that is unseen. Part of the problem on Planet Earth has been the extent to which ‘unseen forces’ have been disregarded, only to be ridiculed when they do see the light of day. Unseen forces are at work all the time - instinct, passion, anger, inspiration, genius, love. You cannot bottle and reproduce any of these things. They are all unquantifiable, immeasurable, but illicit significant and powerful results.
The New Day must take the unseen forces, endeavour to comprehend them, and incorporate them into its philosophy.
We will identify and define these unseen forces at more length in Section 2 of the book. But first, we must look upon the face of the problem, fully and completely.

Further Steps Toward the Light

A breakthrough has at last been made in my work on the updated edition of Steps Toward the Light. Entitled 'Further Steps Toward the Light', the journey continues, yielding fresh realisation about the nature of reality and our inter-relationship with it. It would appear that as we advance, far from the road becoming easier, it becomes more difficult to traverse and sometimes much harder to see. But nonetheless we proceed, for the alternative is far worse. We only have to look around us for evidence of that.
The work will expand on the themes contained within Book One, specifically the objective existence of the Inner World and our subjective view of it. Greater emphasis will be given to colour and detail, as if I can now see them, where before I could not. The work will explore new reaches of the Inner World and is intended to be offered up, as before, unexpurgated and as unfiltered as a human mind can, at this stage, allow.

WHATS WRONG WITH MAN?

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MAN?
(Warning may offend sensibilities and challenge deeply held preconceptions)

The simple reality of life is that the more you learn the better your life becomes. The more you grow, the more capable you are of overcoming old challenges and dealing with issues. Knowledge is power. It is the power to transform your life and the lives of others. Anyone that explores the spiritual side of life is destined to realise this, sooner or later.

But there is one creature that does not want this improvement, this empowerment.
The man.
The man says do not ask questions, do not disrupt the system. He says here are the rules and you must follow them.

And so forever it was.

Once upon a time, way back in the mists of pre-history, there lived lots of different animals, four legged, and two legged, no legged. Such a diversity of life that in fact that you could not fully count or measure it.

One day, one of the creatures happened upon a branch that had fallen from a tree.

That creature played with the branch for some time, until he discovered a use for it. The creature realises that the branch could be used to as a vicious weapon, to kill another. He tested his theory and it worked a treat. It worked so well in fact that the creature was soon master of all he surveyed, wielding the branch against those that threatened him.

But the drawbacks of his new toy soon dawned on the creature. The branch could often only be used once before it broke in two. And he had also noticed that other creatures had taken up the item and were challenging him. So he gather his group of friends (who of course were his friends because he wielded the branch!) and many long days and nights were devoted to come up with a more efficient method of doing the job. The job being, of course, killing.

This group of creatures finally came up with an adaptation of the branch, a much larger and refined version, and called it a club. The club was much more efficient than before. Often only one blow was needed and the job was done. The group of creatures armed themselves with these clubs and rejoiced heartily as they went around slaughtering other, innocent, unarmed creatures.

But time waits for no man, and the group soon came to see the drawbacks of the club and the brightest amongst them spent long days and nights dedicated to improving the clubs efficiency. They decided that by adding a sharp metal point to the end, narrowing out the handle and producing in bulk, then you would effectively have a way of killing a large number of creatures, all at once. This would be far more efficient.

They were jubilant. They called their killers, equipped with spears, an army, and began to make threatening noises toward their neighbours, who by now had the club and were threatening to catch up and develop the spear.

Years passed, armies grew larger, more animals died, and ever increasingly sophisticated methods of killing were devised. The bow and arrow were declared a great success as thousands were killed. But men had dreams of refinement and when they invented the musket, the whole business of killing became, well, a little more gentlemanly. The death toll rose ever higher, as the killing ceased being confined to other species. The inventor of the club, the spear, the bow and arrow and the gun had turned on his own kind.

But you could not halt progress. The limitations of the musket were readily recognised, because you could only kill one person at a time. Again, the ingenious man came up with a gun that could continue to fire, sometimes in rapid succession. But the machine gun was not the end of it. As man turned on man, the ones with the latest invention held the temporary advantage. But due to the genius of man, for it was always man, not woman, new ways of killing were never far away.

As man looked back over his achievements, he saw that, thus far, the killing had taken place mainly on the ground. An opportunity, he thought, to be exploited, as he applied his innovative skills to include seaborne and airborne weapons. Very soon, no place on Earth was safe.

The tank followed, as did the fighter plane, as did the battlefield missiles, until the male realised that what was needed was a real knockout punch. What he and his friends needed was a tactical advantage. He saw that all weapons so far had required investment of time and money in training the users. He saw that if he could cut this out he could save a both time and money. He liked the idea of the untrained and uneducated doing the killing. They would be less likely to question their orders.

Mans genius was about to enable him to reach the summit of his achievement. Extensive testing, together with previously unknown investments of time and money delivered him the thing he had been searching for all this time - the nuclear weapon. A weapon so awesome and destructive that there would be nothing to match it and nothing to top it.
But man had underestimated his own abilities, and a weapon even more deadly was yet to emerge. The men had realised, from real testing, that the drawback with nuclear weapons were that they did not just kill the enemy, but destroyed all their houses and farms and possessions and assets. A more efficient way surely could be found to leave all those things intact and just kill the people we did not like?

So the search led to the refinement of chemical and biological weapons, where millions of creatures could be killed in an instant, miraculously leaving all their possessions intact.

And here we are, today. Mans genius has delivered him domination of the planet, mastery of nature and to the point where, for the very first time in history, the actions of one group can destroy all the rest.

So who is this murderous group? This group that has dedicated their existence to control and destruction? A group entirely dedicated to the discovery of new ways to kill.

Is it the giraffe? No, of course not. Many giraffes have perished at the murderers hands.
Is it the elephant?
The whale?
Rats?
Snakes?

It is none of those.
It is the man.

Always the man.

Not humans, or humanity, or mankind. The male.

But hang on a minute, comes the reflex reaction. That is too simplistic, surely? Well, answer the following questions.

Who is the whaler?
Who is the hoodlum?
Who is the bully?
Who are the mafia?
Who is the murderer?
The Rapist?
The Paedophile?
The Torturer?
The Fraudster?
The Dictator?
The Terrorist?

They are all MEN.

But what about Myra Hindley or Maxine Carr, or the female suicide bomber I read about the other day, I hear you cry?
Be under no illusion about this. For every 1 Maxine Carr, there are a 1000 Ian Huntleys, for every Myra Hindley there are a 1000 Ian Bradys, for every female suicide bomber there are a thousand males with bombs strapped to their stomachs.

The worlds prison population consists overwhelmingly of MEN. The following are the latest available, official prisoner numbers, taken from individual governments.

These figures are readily verifiable and the pattern repeats the world over, not just throughout the affluent West. You can undertake further research yourself, quite easily. Buy a newspaper or watch any television news programme. From the Times to the Sun, Newsnight to Jeremy Kyle, the effects of the males actions are clear to see.

So why are men allowed to get away with it?

The male may be murderous and destructive, but he is not stupid. He surrounds himself with those of like mind. He forms clubs, associations and societies which serve to keep dissent to a minimum and to reinforce the status quo, so preventing change and development.

Money, status, class or religion have little impact. The working mens club acts in the same way as the golf club, as the Law Society, as the political party, the trade association, and the committee. The organisation does not want woman involved because women always ask awkward questions. Questions that actually get to the root of the problem. That is not what the society is for. Its purpose is to approve the next scam and nothing more.

Men have many scams, some tried and tested, although they are not averse to trying new ones. An old favourite scam is for men to tell women that they are silly, stupid, not good enough, imagining it, are over emotional or are out of control. Be like us males they say, be more rational and logical and sensible and everything will be alright.

Except that it never is. The scam does not work for the woman. And this situation cannot be allowed to continue.

Recent events make it evident that yet again, history is repeating itself and the men in charge, in control, do not want to learn.

The truth is that every single one of us is a wonderful and unique individual. Each and every one of us can do a certain thing in a certain way that is totally unique to you. But all of us, together with our families and those we love and care for, are under threat.

Under threat by what is ultimately the only evil on the planet. Men.

The largest and longest lasting scam perpetrated by the man is a form of control - religion. Do not forget who runs all the religions on the planet - men. The control that all religions exert is the stifling of the individual. Every single one of us seeks, consciously or otherwise, a sense of fulfilment and completion. That can only be gained your way, by following your path, making your mistakes and learning your lessons. The men of religion, all religions, however, state the exact opposite. They state that to achieve happiness you do not have to do anything with your life. Just believe, have faith, and give us your money.

Through nuclear, chemical and biological weapons the male holds in his sweaty hands the keys to the destruction of the planet, and if he knew where the lock was he would turn them. The club, the society, and the religions uphold and reinforce his position. The conclusions are inescapable and unremittingly grim. The domination of the men will lead toward our destruction if allowed to continue unchecked.

So now really is the time, for the insanity to stop.

Step forward woman. The female offers the greatest and most needed prize of all, balance. She is the creator to mans destroyer, the emotion to mans logic. She is the other side of the coin, the other point of view, the equal and opposite. In all kinds of ways the woman is different to the man. The world has been playing by male rules for thousands of years. The one arena where men always triumph has been the one that has been exalted as the measure of worth. Men are superior to women only in the arena of physical strength. The credence placed upon sport and physical prowess by the male demonstrates this.

Women must set the rules now, for all our sakes, not least the mans. For he desperately needs the balance that the female provides. And occasionally, in private, late at night, he knows it.

What the male does not know, however, is the relationship between cause and effect. He does not understand how his actions impact on someone or something else. If it exists outside of his limited vision then he cannot recognise it. Lack of vision, lack of imagination and lack of common sense are the primary failings of man, but not of woman.

The woman is not perfect after all, and a world dominated and controlled entirely by women would be just as unbalanced. But we are a long way from that. A long way indeed.

The woman is emotional, which when applied, is a strength, not a weakness.
The male however, will deny, or devalue, the existence of the intuitive and the emotional, until he is blue in the face. In fact intuition is a great asset and your emotions tell you are alive. Women know this. Men will never admit it.

The male believes that his greatest asset is his status. The female often thinks her greatest disappointment is her man.

The male cannot cope with change and upheaval. The female deals with change on a monthly basis.

The male spends a huge amount of time and effort looking for short cuts. That time is often spent in vain.

But worse of all, the male has no interested in learning. Our history has repeated itself again, and again, and again, and again. It is doing so again now, and the male will fight all learning every step of the way, even going to ridiculous lengths to avoid it. To the male, learning means changing and changing means their position is threatened. And they cannot have that.

The female offers the only possible balance to all this. She has all the answers that we will ever need. Men need not be exterminated from the planet, but they certainly need putting in their place.

But the male has seen to it, over the centuries, that a woman is a womans harshest critic. Women have a far lower level of self esteem and confidence than their male counterparts. They do not believe that there is a better way, or even that they are the better way. If the men had their way, women would never have been granted the vote in the UK, but recognise that some of the fiercest resistors to universal suffrage were women themselves. Men should congratulate themselves on a job well done.

So while the woman struggles to find her voice, the male continues to butcher, murder and destroy. Every day that passes heightens the need for the balance that can only come from the woman.

Yet this is not the argument that is made. The salvation of the planet, says the man, will be found through competition, the favourite pastime of the male, and possibly the most pointless activity ever invented. In a world full of diversity, different people with different abilities and talents, this is a hopeless waste. In a world with such a variety of uniqueness, competition, challenging someone to fight you on your terms, is pointless. But the male says not. The male says that unless you are as good as David Beckham then you are not good enough. The reality of course is that even the most stupid, infirm or incapable amongst us can do something in a way that no one else can. Everybody can make a contribution and make a difference. The male says no to all this.

But wait, surely women already do the most important job, bringing up children, the next generation. Few would argue with the importance of motherhood, but the imbalance in the world has reached such grievous proportions, where the male is one step away from ensuring there will not be a next generation, that woman now have a larger role to fulfil.

But wait again, are women really any different from men? Women together have a reputation for nastiness, spitefulness and bitchness. This may indeed be true, but no woman would consciously allow her family to suffer, while vast amounts of time and effort are spent developing another innovative and more efficient method of killing. Women might have the capacity to be downright nasty to each other, as I said earlier they can be other womens harshest critics, but to believe that women would allow the current horrors of history to continue is to believe the mans hype.

The first and most direct way for women to make a difference is to fight against the males need for conformity and uniformity. The male uses every opportunity to preach that there is no uniqueness, no individuality. Laws are made by the male that are simply an attempt to catch all cases by the same method, which is a nonsense in a world full of individuals with unique talents and abilities, unique foibles and unique paths to take.

By fighting against this conformity, and by saying and doing what they feel and think, not what the male tells them, or persuades them of, women can bring real changes into the world.

And do we need real change. A change of rules, a new game.

Women have never in history held positions of responsibility and authority for any length of time, and look where it has brought the world.

Women have been borne down upon for thousands for years and look where it has got us.

Women have been told to shut up and to keep in their place. And look where we are now.

No more.

It is five minutes to midnight in the world and time for a change.

Hillary Clinton, President

Hillary Rodham Clinton, sworn in as 44th President of the United States, 20th January 2009.

Once a fantasy of liberal America, is this now possible? Is it even desirable?

As the weekly dose of America as we would rather it be, the West Wing, fades from our screens, a new series stands ready to supplant it as our fix of wish fulfillment. Commander-in-Chief, starring Geena Davis, is a story of a female Vice President who arrives in the Oval Office, in the teeth of fierce resistance, after the former Presidents untimely demise. Once ensconced in the White House, she fights nasty Republicans and foreign crazies alike with a combination of feminine wiles and motherly common sense. But even Hollywood, the Mecca for liberal and progressive America, does not dare elect a woman to that position. So what will the real America do in 2008? Will it be President Clinton the Second?

The most striking example from history, where a major world power elected a female leader was Britain in 1979, and even then it took a virtual breakdown in the fabric of society (the Winter of Discontent), together with a incumbent administration that failed to take the woman seriously, for Margaret Thatcher to just win through.

The reality of those times, without the benefit of hindsight, should be recalled, and applied to measure Hillarys chances.

Thatcher gained the leadership of her party in 1975 through stealth, not merit. The Conservative Members of Parliament who voted for her, did so at the urging of party bigwig Airey Neaves exhortation to "send a message to Mr Heath" (the Conservative party leader of the day, who had recently been defeated at the polls for the third time).

As leader of the Conservative Party, Margaret Thatcher, embarked on an immediate image overhaul, with the help of PR guru and TV producer Gordon Rees. She softened her image and reduced the volume and shrill character of her voice. Her detractors will laugh at whether that was effective or not, but listen to any early recordings of her speeches and you will get my point) The Labour government, led by the affable but inept James Callaghan, refused to take the woman seriously and paid the price at the polls, although many argued at the time that Thatchers Conservatives won in spite of, rather than because of, her.

Many more proceeded to repeat Callaghans mistake and during her first term (1979-83) she was beset on all sides by those men (and it was always men), who thought she was no match for them, miners, members of her own government, the media and the Argentine military.

Eventually she won through, and the rest is history. She is now widely accepted as Britains most influential premier since Churchill.

Recently, the Germans elected Angela Merkel as head of a minority government, and although her first months have been somewhat of a honeymoon, no-one should be in any doubt that she means to change Germany for the better, for ever. Her words give little away; her actions tell us everything we need to know. She discarded protocol at the recent European summit in order to get Tony Blair on her side. She has repaired the German / American relationship, after years of bad feeling and back biting between Washington DC and Berlin. And there will be more to come.

Gender aside, Clinton is neither Thatcher nor Merkel. However, that will not stop the most strenuous efforts being put into ensuring that she does not make it to the White House.

Hillary Clinton is loathed, distrusted, underestimated and misunderstood on all sides, before she even starts, not because of her stand on Iraq, or her House voting record, but because she is a woman. Indeed, just to rub salt in the wound, a woman with a loud voice and opinions to match. In this she is markedly different from any that has gone before her.

It is because she is a woman that her candidacy for the most powerful position in the world will polarize and divide an already embittered and embattled country.

It is because she is a woman that she will be turned upon by her own, female Democrats. This has already begun, http://www.freepress.org/columns/display/1/2006/1304. Proof indeed that a woman is a womans harshest critic.

And it is because she is a woman that she must run. For were she to become President then the world would become, overnight, a better place in all kinds of ways.

Fundamentally, women are different to men, whether we choose to recognize this or not. Women have babies and are built for different priorities. Womens bodies undergo changes every month that most men would find too much to bare. Men fight and women love. It is a simple truth, although please be sure to understand that it is not intended as a simplistic truth.

Intellectually, the woman, so long as she is her own person, is generally more likely to employ common sense, to understand the process of cause and effect and to be less restricted by convention and procedure than a man, who of course thrives within rules and regulations.

Materially, the woman, provided she has some security herself, is generally more likely to understand the basic need that all of us have for food, water, shelter and healthcare. Something that the man has demonstrated he possesses no understanding of.

Spiritually, the woman, so long as she possesses some sense of individuality, is generally able to grasp that women look at things differently to men, that the dominance of male priorities over centuries has led us to the chaos we now find ourselves in, and only by being a woman, not a female man, does she stand a chance.

Hillarys greatest strength is her greatest weakness. In government, she speaks as she finds. If it is a lie, she says it is a lie. Her ability to recognise the reality of a situation, not procrastinate about how it should be, will enable her, like women the world over, to get the job done. But like women the world over, she will be berated for it.

A great responsibility rests on Hillary Clintons shoulders. She may not win, but she must run. She must show that a woman can. She must like Geena Davis, make it imaginable.

For as Margaret Thatcher once so presciently remarked, "Men have not done such a good job, all of the time."

You are the only one there is

YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THERE IS
(abridged transcript of a speech delivered at the Isbourne Foundation, Cheltenham, 22nd October 2005)

Ask any hairdresser and they will tell you that no two peoples hair is the same.
Ask any optician and they will tell you that no two peoples eyes are exactly the same.
Ask any palmist and they will tell you no two peoples hands are the same.
Ask any teacher and they will tell you that no two children learn at the same rate.

We are all individuals, with our own needs and wants, but above all our own way forward.

As two people walk down the street, side by side, they are aware of each other and if they turn to look at each other as they walk they see a certain side of the other. The person on the right sees the other persons right, the person on the left sees the other persons left. From their perspective, they do not see the whole of the other person. They cannot.

We all see things from our perspective, our point of view.
Our point of view may be informed or it may be ignorant, it may be prejudiced or it may be open, but it is our own.
It will be influenced by others, partially or wholly, but it is our own, and it belongs to each of us.
And our opinion is as valuable as anyone elses.

But is goes further than just saying we are all different

Every one of us is unique, and we are unique for a reason.

Every single one of us has a particular job to do, in a particular way. It is ours, no one else can do it.
We each have a contribution to make and we can each make a difference.

But it goes further even than that.

Every single one of us has a job to do, and we know what it is, we just do not know that we know. Some may have forgotten and may need guidance to rediscover this, but it is all there.

The job that we each have to do is so important that we have all the abilities, already within us, with which to do it.

So whether we like it or not, there is no getting out of it.

This approach, these fundamentals, fly in the face of everything we have been told from the moment we were born.
Many road blocks have been created to prevent us pursuing us lifes work, to prevent us from being ourselves.
For centuries we have been told,
You are nothing special
Do not do it your way because that is not good enough
You cannot do that because you are not clever enough, or pretty enough, or tall enough, or slim enough, or rich enough, or white enough, or black enough, or you are a woman, or you are too old, or too young
Never put yourself first, what do you know anyway

We have been told to put others first, and ourselves last.
We have been told to place our trust in those that clearly do not deserve it, and then to act surprised when they let us down.

Each of us knows what is best for us, and we will each be far better off without these restrictions.

Conformity and Uniformity, although it is encouraged by others at every turn, should actually be resisted at all costs.
The men in suits that pull the strings in society, stifle creation and innovation at every turn, preferring to perpetuate the status quo that they command. Teachers are tasked with measuring a childs intelligence again and again, completely overlooking the fact that every single child has something special within them that the common ground of assessments and tests may well not reveal.

To be part of a group, to be uniform, or to conform, hampers our growth, first as individuals, then ultimately as a collective. It prevents us fulfilling our individual potential, it stops us becoming all that we can be, it prevents us following our path and it stands in the way of us achieving a form of real happiness.

The biggest and most influential groups of all are not political or social, but religious. All religions encourage their followers to act en masse, without recognition of individuality. All faiths state that in order for us to achieve happiness and fulfillment we need do nothing at all, other than believe. Religions say follow their way and do as they say and all will be well.

Religion is thankfully experiencing a painful demise because it misses the point of life entirely. We are all INDIVIDUAL, the mould was broken after each if us was made. Religion does not, will not, and cannot ever, take this fundamental into account.

To those that think that this new approach is rather selfish, I would say that it is actually a message of hope. May we be protected from those people that purport to mean well, for on its own the sentiment is not nearly enough. By putting ourselves first, and getting ourselves right, we place ourselves in the best possible position to be of lasting and genuine help to others.

But this is where it gets a little tricky.

We are all members of the community, citizens of our country, and citizens of the world. But we are all those things second and individuals first. Individuals with our own needs, wants, talents and failings. Our own ability to succeed and progress and our own ability to put our foot in it.

The ability to put our foot in it, to screw up and get things wrong, is to be applauded, for it provides the opportunity to learn and to grow. The man or woman that never made a mistake, never did anything.

Michael Jordan, the American sport star, said "I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the winning shot . . . and missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why . . . I succeed."

So, it is all down to us, because it is all within us. Cease to search for new heroes and leaders. They will not lead us to safety, only we can do that.
If that is the case, then who knows best for us? We do, not others.
If that is the case then who is to be congratulated when things go well? We are, not others.
And who is really to blame when things go wrong?
